I purchased this blog last year on a Black Friday whim, thinking it might motivate me to finish my novel.  Well, twelve months and twenty drafts later, I’m no closer to the goal than I was before.  Just like last year, my credit card is weeping after the glut of discounted books and blu-rays I bought during the post-Thanksgiving sales…and just like last year, I find myself resolving to do better next year.  😦

In a way, it’s nice that this blog’s anniversary will always come before New Year’s, the traditional day for making promises to yourself that you know you won’t really keep.  By this time NEXT year, I’m hoping to have a finished draft of a novel…if I can keep myself from starting all over again from the beginning.
